Established in 1950, the program recruitment is open to individuals who have earned a master's degree or will complete all course work toward a master's degree by June 30, 2008. In the past, two to four candidates have been selected annually for this competitive, highly regarded program.
The program is designed to attract, develop and retain innovative individuals in the city of Phoenix. Selected individuals will have the opportunity to observe firsthand efforts to address some of its most pressing issues facing a large, award-winning city government. By performing rotational assignments in the:
- City Manager's Office
- Budget and Research Department, and
- departments providing direct public services to the community,
Selected individuals will receive an annual salary and a comprehensive benefits package such as medical and dental insurance.
